Let’s face it ,we are all spending a lot more time inside our homes than ever before.

While binge watching movies and series’ on Netflix can be super fun, after a while it does get old. One can only watch so much of Outlander before it gets boring and, then what? Now is a perfect time to tackle all of those little projects that we otherwise don’t have time for or that they’re are not necessary to be done. Taking on some small home projects every day can instantly boost your productivity and give you a sense of accomplishment.

This is a great opportunity to do some thorough spring cleaning, de clutter, and organize your home. I n between school lessons and work-from-home consider a few of these easy-to-handle DIY projects.

  1. Time to touch up paint

Now is a perfect time to touch up paint work throughout your home, especially those rooms that we use the most such as the living room. We should ideally touch up paint once a year but who has time for that right? This is perfect time to walk through your home assess the space and roll up your sleeves and do it! If you are new to painting there is a endless choice of YouTube videos to quickly learn from; no excuses.

  2. Organize and style those cluttered shelves

Sort through all your books, magazines, and decorative accessories, and release what is no longer relevant to you. Group your books and magazines by topic, or interest and mix it up with some accessories -for ideas look on Pinterest or browse our website to get ideas on how to successfully mix books and accessories.

  3. Rearrange your furniture pieces throughout your home

Now when you are spending so much time at home is a perfect opportunity to evaluate what is or isn’t working for you. Rearrange living room furniture, take away some pieces and maybe find a room where they will be better utilized. Play around with it and see. You might discover that with some minor changes you

give you a completely different look to the space without spending a dime.

  4. Wash your windows and curtains

This is a simple and inexpensive task that we overlook. You would not believe the difference till you see it .Rooms instantly feel bigger and brighter ! Who does not like that ? Word of caution if your curtains are custom made with linings please do not attempt to wash, however take them of the rods outside and give them a good shake to get the dust off, while you are at it dust your curtain rods as well.

  5. Organize drawers

Our drawers tend to be catch all for all the things that we think we need but end up just sitting there . Evaluate what needs to stay and what should go, give it a good vibe down and if possible line them with non skid liner so that things don’t shift while opening and closing the drawers.

Result will be so rewarding you would not believe!

I hope that you will be able to tackle some of these projects

    Happy organizing, Tatiana
